This special issue of the Brazilian Journal of Case Reports (BJCR) serves as the continuous and open-access platform for the publication of curated books that compile the highest-quality case reports and clinical images published in the journal every biennium. The initiative began with Clinical Case Reports: Current Challenges in Clinical Practice (2023), which gathered 66 exceptional case reports from 2021–2022, followed by Clinical Case Reports: From Clinical to Science (2023–2024), including 53 exemplary clinical cases. All subsequent curated books will be published within this issue, establishing a continuous, freely accessible repository of outstanding clinical scholarship. Authors are offered the opportunity for dual publication, in which their original article in BJCR can also be included as a chapter in the corresponding curated book, at no cost. This strategy enhances the visibility, reach, and long-term impact of the work while ensuring that high-quality clinical evidence is disseminated broadly and freely to the scientific community. By bridging journal publication with book compilation, this initiative emphasizes the integral role of case reports and clinical images in advancing evidence-based practice, supporting medical education, and fostering translational research. In conclusion, this initiative represents our commitment to advancing clinical knowledge by providing a continuous, open-access platform that recognizes and amplifies the contributions of case report authors. We are proud to offer dual publication opportunities at no cost, ensuring that each high-quality case report reaches the widest possible audience while contributing to the consolidation of clinical evidence for education, research, and practice.
