All articles published in BJCR are open access and freely available online immediately upon publication. The Article Processing Charge (APC) is required to cover editorial, peer review, production, and publishing costs.

APC Fees

The APC for BJCR is:

• USD 200.00 for international authors
• BRL 500.00 for Brazilian authors

Additional transaction fees may apply depending on the payment method used.

There are no charges for letter to editor submissions, manuscript submission, or rejected articles. There are also no additional charges based on article composition (e.g., color figures or number of pages).

Payment Methods

Payments can be made via PayPal or other available payment methods. Payments processed via PayPal may be subject to additional fees (currently 6.40% + VAT, subject to change according to payment policies).

Editorial Process and Terms of Service

All manuscripts submitted to BJCR undergo editorial evaluation and peer review.

Payment of the APC is only requested after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Payment of the APC does not guarantee acceptance of a manuscript. BJCR reserves the right to reject submissions based on editorial and peer review decisions.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and compliance with ethical publishing standards, including avoidance of plagiarism and data fabrication.

Refund Policy

All APC payments are non-refundable once the peer review or editorial process has started, or after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Refunds may only be granted in the following cases:

• Duplicate payment
• Technical errors in payment processing

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the original payment.

Privacy Policy

BJCR collects personal information such as name, email address, and institutional affiliation for the purpose of manuscript processing, communication, and publication.

Payment information is processed securely by third-party providers such as PayPal or other payment platforms. BJCR does not store full payment details.

Personal data is not sold or shared with third parties, except when necessary for payment processing or publication services.

Discounts and Waivers

BJCR offers APC discounts to authors based in countries classified by the World Bank as low-income and lower-middle-income economies. These authors are eligible for a 20% discount. Additional discounts or waivers may be granted on a case-by-case basis for authors with financial constraints.
